Entry-Level Architectural Designer
Join our team as an Entry-Level Architectural Designer at Roche Modern in New Haven, Connecticut. We are a small, well-established firm with work that ranges from bespoke residential and hospitality design to museum and other cultural work. As a key member of our team, you will engage in all aspects of architectural services and have significant opportunities to work closely with experienced architects. We are a full-service firm, meaning you will be exposed to the full breadth of architectural projects. You’ll play a pivotal role, offering pathways to leadership roles.
About the Firm
Roche Modern is a continuation of Eero Saarinen and Associates and Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates. Many of our current professional team have worked closely with Kevin Roche for most of their careers, and our projects continue to benefit from that experience. Today, Roche Modern is a cross-disciplinary design firm blending architecture, engineering, sculpture and energy systems in pursuit of a modernist future.
Qualifications
BA in Architecture, BS in Architecture, B.Arch, M.Arch, or equivalent experience
Drafting skills (Rhino, MicroStation, AutoCad, and/or Revit acceptable)
Rendering skills (Vray, 3DsMax, Sketchup, and/or Photoshop/Illustrator, etc.)
Knowledge of digital sharing platforms (BlueBeam Revu or Figma preferred)
Interest in the design/artistic side of Architecture
Experience in independent projects (set design, art installations, or architectural
competitions, etc.)
Self-driven with a proactive approach to projects.
Excellent communication skills (digital and physical) to collaborate effectively with
clients and team members.
